Quick Answer

Customs Duty Calculator: Personal postal import tax with the 50-yuan exemption rule. Customs Duty Calculator uses standard finance formulas to compute accurate results instantly.

CNY
%
Tax payable52 CNY

Computed tax 52 CNY · > 50 CNY, taxable

Total dutiable value 400 CNY

How it works

  1. 1Personal postal tax = dutiable price x comprehensive rate
  2. 2200 x 2 x 13% = 52 CNY
  3. 3Tax > 50 CNY → payable 52 CNY

Reading the result

Since Dec 2024 (GACC Announcement No.175/176), personal postal items use 4 rates: 3% (anti-cancer & rare-disease drugs), 13% (food, beverages, medicine, supplements, computers, cameras), 20% (apparel, bags, shoes, textiles, electronics), 50% (alcohol, tobacco, high-end watches ≥10K, luxury cosmetics, jewelry).

Postal limit: 2,000 CNY per shipment (except to/from HK, Macau, Taiwan: 800). Tax ≤ 50 CNY is exempted, so a 26 CNY tax on tea is free. The dutiable price follows the official price list (e.g. milk powder 200/kg, coat 300/piece, baijiu 300/bottle) rather than what you paid; if the real price deviates greatly, customs may assess it separately. Cross-border e-commerce retail imports (declared channels) follow different rules with a 70% levy on the comprehensive rate.
