Common mistakes

  • “More lumens is always better”: an over-bright small image strains eyes, and high-brightness models run louder fans. Fix size and light level first, then compute the lumens you need.
  • “Closer is always more immersive”: beyond a 40° field of view you turn your head to follow the picture, and pixel structure becomes visible.
